(There is so much that the Lord is speaking to His people in this hour. The purpose of this article is not to condemn anyone, but to convict us of sin, bring us into right thinking and to awaken us to the reality of spiritual truths. With Holy Spirit leading, I believe Father has addressed what is on His heart here although we are only scratching the surface of the warfare before us. I pray that you are blessed and encouraged in your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.)
Colossians 3:1-5 CJB, "1 So if you were raised along with the Messiah, then seek the things above, where the Messiah is sitting at the right hand of God. c 2 Focus your minds on the things above, not on things here on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God. 4 When the Messiah, who is our life, appears, then you too will appear with him in glory! 5 Therefore, put to death the earthly parts of your nature…."
This place of "IF YOU" mentioned in this scripture is of extreme importance. It calls into question whether or not a person who professes Christ REALLY & TRULY sits with Him in heavenly places…
People of God, we have a serious problem among the congregation. We are in the midst of a people who proclaim to sit in places of eating meat, but are unable to retain their focus on the things of the Kingdom. In our walk with God, we should daily pray for Holy Spirit to rise on the inside of us to teach us to walk in a place of "focus" concerning the very will of God. HE IS OUR HELPER! He is the same Holy Spirit who was with Jesus, and we need to ask Him to RISE IN US in this hour to overthrow all that is unlike God in our lives and to overtake all areas where Father desires to be glorified.
We need FOCUS! We need to decide whether or not we are going to serve this world or serve the Lord. We need the apostolic sight of the EAGLE! We need precision in our spiritual movement! We need discernment like never before.
My spirit could not rest this morning. Father has me interceding, even in between the lines of this letter to you.
Holy Spirit is moving me to address our conduct this morning concerning things released in and through the media in this hour. I have a burden of intercession on me right now concerning seeing the people of God break free of the things of this world that we react to, focus on and talk about as believers. PROPHETIC scribes, this is especially critical to us when you understand your Matthew 13:52 call to the Kingdom.
Recently, there was an uproar over the fact that NBC, a SECULAR television network, edited out the "under God portion" in the Pledge of Allegiance during the airing of the U.S. Open on international television. So many people in the Christian community are outraged and angered; but I tell you, that outrage an anger is grossly misplaced when you consider the trend in programming on NBC and begin taking a closer look at the network's projections into our homes over the last decade. Warfare was initiated against this network in the realm of the spirit long before "this particular issue" came forth.
With that said, the question of the hour for the congregation in this situation isn't about "this incident." It is about what the Lord wants to awaken the assembly to in this hour. What area of awakening is Holy Spirit targeting among the saints in the earth?
While this may seem to be a big deal in the natural, it is clearly a sign to the congregation of the Lord to understand that one of the most influential media networks operating today is anti-Christ (standing against the principles of our Christ and His church); and therefore operating under the influence of the principalities and powers released over this earth realm. In other words, the editing of this statement is just a dust-flake or a small glimpse of what the principalities and powers have been and are continuing to do through the media.
This isn't new, but it has intensified. People of God, there's something greater Father wants us to see. There's a higher place that He wants us to rest in concerning this world. People of God, no matter WHAT you see around you in this hour — GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL!
1 Timothy 6:20-21 CJB says, "O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called "knowledge "- which some have professed and thus gone astray from the faith…"
What is taking place in many Christian camps in this hour is "empty chatter and opposing arguments" concerning what is falsely called "knowledge." In other words, we are being DISTRACTED by conversations, information and things THAT DO NOT MATTER while the deeper issues are going untouched, unnoticed, unaddressed and/or unconfronted by the power of the Lord God within us.
This is NOT ABOUT what NBC is doing. Hell's agenda is greater than this.
Father is saying to us today:
1. Take your eyes off NBC or any other situation that seems to "grab hold" of the nations ear gates and possess their conversations. Begin to SEEK OUT & LISTEN for the voice of God in the midst. What is HE SAYING is taking place behind what we hear in the natural? What is HE SHOWING US in the midst of what we see in the natural?
2. Identify the doors that are being opened or stretched wider in this nation as this "debate and/or conversation" continues. Consider what type of conversation is REALLY being opened before the people in this dark, evangelical campaign of the adversary.
You see, the adversary is USING THIS INJECTION OF DISTRACTION to open the door to a much larger issue. He is doing whatever He can to push an agenda in which this nation makes a stand to say OFFICIALLY, we DENOUNCE GOD! I worked in the media on an executive level for years. When an agenda goes forth, it plays right into the minds and intellect of men — grabbing hold of the most intelligent, influencial and most impressionable among us.
3. Recognize EXPOSURE when it comes. Many intercessors have been praying for the light of God to shine on this nation. As it shines, MANY THINGS will be exposed. The attention the media is bringing to this particular issue is SHEDDING LIGHT and bringing greater clarity to the ungodly agenda and demonic assignment released against this nation. People of God, don't miss this! The question is not what NBC is going to do! It's what THE CHURCH is doing in the realm of the spirit!
4. The goal of the secular media is to ENTER INTO YOUR EAR GATE, penetrate your thought processes and overtake and pervert what you meditate on. It wants to desensitize you to Christ's ideologies. It wants to inject a spirit of fear and conspiracy, dependency on governments and place the souls in this nation on a path of paranoia!
The issue at hand is about doing whatever it takes to further UNDERMINE this country's position of faith in Jesus Christ. It is an assault on the wall of prayer that has protected us from generations. It is an assault geared toward opening up a deeper level of conversation directed at UNDERMINING, DESTROYING & SHUTTING THE EARS OF PEOPLE to the voice of Christ in this nation.
I saw it so clearly people of God! I'm not the only one who is seeing this…
We are about to be thrust into a place of persecution IN THIS COUNTRY… like we have never seen. Many are prophesying peace in this hour, but Matthew 24 is being revealed and walked out worldwide! This shaking will not stop until Christ returns!
Our position in this hour is not to "attack or even debate" NBC. This is worthless! It is not to discuss what "NBC" may or may not be doing. People of God, to do that is to fall prey to the distractions. We are not to respond to ANYTHING like THIS WORLD RESPONDS!
Our role is TO WATCH AND TO PRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is too listen to the VOICE OF GOD in the midst of this for strategy and action! It is to MIND THE BUSINESS OF THE KINGDOM and TO SEE what doors are opening in the realm of the spirit AGAINST US… as well as FOR US and to strategically position ourselves for impact!
In everything, we must get to that Colossians 3 place!
There are too many PEOPLE WATCHERS in the midst of the church today who are watching with the natural eye, thinking they are seeing spiritually. We are called to watch atmospheric changes in the realm of the spirit, not people.
Father showed me a group of people sitting around DEBATING this issue and other issues like it who were Christians. They were acting just like the "world media" but thinking they were doing a service to the Lord. They were bringing up all these issues and SPENT HOURS talking about them, but were never able to tap into the realm of the spirit concerning the heart and mind of God for the strategic application of His WORD or His WILL. In other words, they were "chattering and holding useless conversation."
Father is saying to us today, "Don't be a part of the distraction, the confusion or the problem at hand. Allow Holy Spirit to cause you to be a voice of CLARITY AND UNDERSTANDING in this hour. Allow HOLY SPIRIT to give you the eyesight and the hearing of eagles… that you may truly sit in a high place with me and look low."
Father also showed me countless believers who were addicted to the media — filling their ears with the stronghold of gossip and distraction (rotten meat in the realm of the spirit). I saw many sitting in front of televisions and reading magazines gorging themselves on gossip! It was oozing out of their eye, ear and mouth gates with super star gossip and all manner of earthly trash — yet, they believed they stood at the very ear-gate of Heaven. These people knew more about the Kardashians than they did about the present move of God…
This is SERIOUS people of God! I pray you hear Father in this….
He is saying to us, "Your gates are open to great manipulation and perversion in the hour. What you feed your spirit with… that is what you will become, thirst after and lust for…. and it is the sin… the wide gate… that will cause many to be lured and to fall away in this hour unaware. Feed yourself with me. Feed yourself with my word. Seek me in the midst of everything you hear and you see. Call forth the helper in your life… and I will prepare you well for what is to come."
