CONCERNING THE CHURCH SCANDAL IN GEORGIA

In times like these, the prophets seem to go silent — at least openly. But I tell you, my heart mourns over the blow and impact this issue involving Bishop Eddie Long and the congregation of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church has on “the Church” AS A WHOLE. Last night, my phone started blowing up with calls from people who wanted to know what I thought. I basically said, “It’s not about what I think OR what anyone thinks for that matter. It’s about God. It’s about WHAT are YOU going to do as a result of what has happened.”
People of God, I tell you — we haven’t seen anything yet. By this, I’m not talking about this particular Bishop. I am talking about the increase of warfare, the continued exposure of sin and the increasing attack on our freedom in this country to worship our God. This situation, in and of itself, runs far deeper than any trial-by-jury or a man’s guilt or innocence.
This morning, Father said this to me: “Beloved is YOUR house in order? Are you in the pursuit of holiness?” In this, I had fear.
The world system does its job very well. They are SUPPOSED to mock and ridicule our God. The scriptures clearly tell us that SINNERS have been BLINDED by their god. (2 Corinthians 4:4) But those of us in pursuit of righteousness are not blinded. I tell you, we should not be SURPRISED by anything that comes over the news or that happens in this day and time. If you are, you have to ask yourself this question: “How well do I know my Word? How well do I know my God (Father in Heaven)?”
I am writing this note to those who are willing to hear the heart of God past self-righteousness, swift judgment, apathy, complacency, ignorance and carnality. This note, in truth, is not even about this particular situation — because we’ve had MANY OF THEM over the past few years and in truth, I prophesy that more are coming. Read 2 Timothy 4 in its entirety.
There are many things Father is bringing in front of His people in the midst of this. Among them are questions he sent me to place before you today: “Is YOUR house in order? Are you aware that the accuser of the brethren is coming to YOUR door?”
People of God! Don’t forget that the enemy CROUCHES AT THE DOOR waiting for the best opportunity to enter in. He constantly searches and searches the earth for something to accuse you of — whether it is a lie or something from your past.
Father also asked me to share this: “Tell my people not to join the birds of prey!”
You see, the world is DOING what it is suppose to do! We should be doing what we are supposed to do! Regardless of what is going on, we are not to contribute to further division through gossip, accusations, out right assaults or other ungodly behaviors like the world. You are not called to increase the pain in the midst of this, but to be a part of the solution — and there IS a solution. You are not called to a place of FEAR in releasing Father’s heart in the midst of this situation in the areas where you’ve been assigned.
As believers, our position is THE SAME POSITION that Yahshuah (Jesus) has right now — intercession. Let Holy Spirit pray on your behalf if you do not know what to pray. Am I talking about praying for Bishop Long? If Father directs you, YES! But I tell you, when you seek him in the midst of this He will reveal other areas of KINGDOM SIGNIFICANCE that we must cover — that reaches beyond this church and this pastor.
You are to pray what HOLY SPIRIT reveals to you during this time. You see… in the realm of the spirit there has been a battle going on for the Church in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR A LONG TIME. There’s been a struggle just behind the pews to keep Jezebel out and the pure Gospel in.
Father revealed to me that there is a crack here that widens in the realm of the spirit EVERY SINGLE TIME the media get’s wind of trouble in the congregation of the Lord. I pray that you hear me by the Spirit. There are underlining forces at work that are just waiting to further the true agenda of the adversary in this country, which is to completely wipe out credibility for the CHURCH in America. He wants us to be a BLIND CHURCH that moves in emotion and entertainment instead of in POWER.
Father has been saying this to me, and many other leaders who hear him, for a long time: “My people have become IDOL WORSHIPPERS… just like in the days of Moses. As a result, when their IDOLS COME DOWN to the level of men, the FAITH in the God they claim to serve comes down. When they are HIGH on their idol, they are HIGH in God; HOWEVER, when your WORSHIP IS IN FATHER and HE becomes everything. Then, when the idols fall we can still see God clearly… and not be moved.”
People of God, “What have we learned? What have WE LEARNED from these experiences? What is our role now in the lives of those who are in need restoration in the midst of this?”
Some believers who read this will miss what I’ve shared today. Some will be ANGRY because I touched their idol. Others will challenge that I didn’t say enough or hit what they believe to be important in the midst of the cloud that is reigning over Georgia today. WHAT IS IMPORTANT? It is important THAT WE SEE GOD! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE SEE THE NEED IN OUR OWN LIVES TO BE EPISTLES! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE CONTINUE TO PRAY! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE GET OUR OWN HOUSES IN ORDER … so that true alignment can come.
I tell you, I’ve only shared here what Father released me to share. Don’t let the “chatter and clutter” distract you from truth. You see, THE WORLD exacerbates the problem; but Yahshuah (Jesus) is the solution. YOU are to represent HIM in the earth.
Let’s talk about HIM… and the AWAKENING of the Church — not its sleep state. Everybody knows the congregation is sleeping in many areas, but I ask you this: Have you asked FATHER HOW YOU can be a part of awakening His people?
If you remember nothing else, remember these two things:
1. Is MY house in order?
2. Am I a bird of prey?
