Metron is defined as a unit of measure; a boundary that has been set in which something exists. It indicates that there are parameters in your midst that you should not cross until those boundaries are enlarged or expanded.
In the scriptures, the word metron is equivalent to “timing and seasons.” Ecclesiastes 3 sums this up best as Solomon, in his wisdom from the Lord, clearly tells us that there is a time and a season for everything under the sun. For example, there was a set time, written in Heaven, long before heaven and earth was created for YOU to be born. The Lord knew and had planned for your soul to be re{jcomments on}leased from heaven to earth in the exact moment that it took place. in the natural. But you see, in the eyes of God you already existed. Your life simply had to wait for its TIMING to be released in the natural.
You see, there are many things Father has spoken over and into your lives. There are many promises that have been revealed through His word, and even more things that He has spoken into our hearts that not one of us have uttered to men. Guess what? Every single one of those things have a designated time of release in the earth that is activated by our obedience.
In other words, following the Lord’s will for us unlocks our destiny.
Our Father is NOT double-minded and schizophrenic. He doesn’t say, “This is what I’m going to do today… and then tomorrow he scraps those words and comes up with a new plan.” Where we are as mature believers right now is IN THE MIDST OF THE THROWS of destiny. This means that the FULLNESS OF TIME for many of the Lord’s people is at hand. You see, we’ve heard so many profess this (and not know what they were talking about) that people of God don’t pay attention to direction like this anymore when the real deal comes along.
But if you believe that the Lord is speaking, you will come to know (by Holy Spirit and Holy Spirit alone) that it is a time of seeing many of those hidden promises — those things between you and the Father — unfold in the natural realm. What is the fullness of time? In the Hebrew scriptures, it is understood to be “the appointed time” or that “set time” in history in which the Lord said THIS IS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN ON THERESA’S BEHALF ON THIS DAY, AT THIS HOUR AND IN THIS CITY.
Galatians 4:4 CJB says, “…but when the appointed time arrived, God sent forth his Son.“
The warning that is before ME TODAY is this: “Stay in your metron!”
You see, there are MANY THINGS the Lord has prophesied over you openly and privately. There are things he’s promised you concerning your own well-being, as well as that of your family, your ministries, your business and so forth. We must understand that Father is concerned about EVERYTHING concerning us — in the spiritual and in the natural.
Everything that we learn from the time of sucking a spiritual MILK BOTTLE and up into a place of maturity is PREPARING YOU to walk in and walk out EVERY AREA OF PROMISE that has been and WILL BE REVEALED. The key here is this:
“Can you DISCERN the timing? Can you WAIT on God? CAN YOU STAY in your metron until you are RELEASED?”
There is a spiritual transition that has taken place in my life over the past few months. I began walking in that transition more than a year ago. I heard the Lord’s cry. I heard his call in this particular situation, but I also heard him say, “It is not the time to publicly declare it or release it in the earth.”
Do you have some things that you know have reached its FULLNESS on the inside of you? Have you become a master at some of the gifts in your hand and moved from being a student to a teacher? (Now, we are forever students. I’m not talking about this.) I am specifically speaking of KNOWING that you have crossed into an area of LAUNCHING in which your wings can now be expanded in the TERRITORY and under the AUTHORITY that has been given to you?
One of the enemies greatest strategies in this season is to GET YOU TO REVEAL YOUR DESTINY too soon. Just because you hear the call to preach today doesn’t mean you are to open a church tomorrow. Just because someone on the street recognizes you as a prophet doesn’t mean you must now PROPHESY to everyone you meet, put a badge on your head and walk into something BEFORE ITS TIMING.
We must be so in tune with God and so submitted to wise counsel and leadership, that we can be guided into that next level like those before us. I stand in awe of the disciples who began walking in their Apostleship with Jesus Christ. Yes, they were apostles… but they never lost their place of submission before their Lord, Savior and King. They understood that they couldn’t be released UNTIL the mantle fell on Jesus and he transitioned into his next level of ministry.
It was ONLY at that APPOINTED TIME that they begin to walk out the words that had been spoken over them so long ago. People of God, nothing much has changed. This pattern STILL EXISTS in th earth today.
Just this week my spiritual father said to me, “SLOW DOWN!!!! DAUGHTER, SLOW DOWN!”
What was he saying, “He was saying STAY IN YOUR METRON! Don’t cross over into that next level until the Lord brings you release.” He was saying, “YOU WILL KNOW IT! YOU WON’T HAVE TO QUESTION IT!” And best of all, those whom I’ve set around you will stand like a watchtower as you stretch your wings and walk into the NEXT LEVEL of your destiny and purpose.
People of God… don’t be in a hurry I beg you.
Don’t launch out in another area of ministry because you “heard a word” BEFORE the foundation has been set in the FIRST WORD you received. ONE KEY TO GRASPING THIS IS KNOWING that the LORD COMPLETES ONE THING before beginning construction on another.
Isaiah 28:9-10 says, “ Can no one be taught anything? Can no one understand the message? Must one
teach barely weaned toddlers, babies just taken from the breast,
10 so that [one has to use nursery rhymes]? Tzav la-tzav, tzav la-tzav,kav la-kav, kav la-kav z’eir sham, z’eir sham [Precept by precept, precept by precept, line by line, line by line, a little here, a little
there].“
You see, your obedience TODAY is building up to your TRANSITION TOMORROW. Don’t mess up today by trying to play Holy Ghost with your destiny! Don’t mess up this MOMENT by jumping into something prematurely — whether its a business venture, a call into ministry or even a new book! I pray that you hear me by the spirit.
I am one who has done this! I’ve tried to help out JESUS! I’ve tried to play the role of HOLY SPIRIT in my life and it has COST ME! I’ve wanted to RUSH the prophetic words! I … I … I … I…. I…
Until the Lord began reminding me, “It’s not about YOU Theresa. Every day I must show you this… less you forget.”
You see, there are many, many leaders who will NEVER tell you about this part of their journey. But as a PROPHET, I am coming to tell you today that YOU MUST STAY IN YOUR MEASURE…. and move with wisdom. If you have not completed the FIRST ASSIGNMENT, then the FATHER WILL NOT MOVE YOU INTO THE NEXT…
Don’t fall prey to that false sense of urgency, that secret puffed up spirit that can hide and harbor in our souls and falsely move us out of the timing of God. I’ve been there! Don’t look at what other people are doing and try to catch up! LEADERS, don’t think you have to come up to a certain place because those you teach THINK they’ve arrived at a certain place. KEEP YOUR SPOT! STAY IN YOUR METRON! Don’t fall into the SCHEMES of the adversary…
JESUS!!!! This is so heavy on my heart today…
Look at what Isaiah said here! He said can ANYONE BE TAUGHT ANYTHING…
He is saying something so simple. He wants us to see that BUILDING MUST TAKE PLACE before you can move furniture into that building. He is saying that the water must be turned on, the gas, and the phone service. He is saying LET HOLY SPIRIT do the work…
YES you’re a prophet. Yes the Lord will elevate you to Apostle. Yes, you will be a spiritual mother. Yes, you’re a spiritual Father. Yes, the Lord is sending you sons and daughters. Yes, you will raise up prophets. Yes, you will be sent to leaders! Yes, you will pastor a church. Yes, you will teach with power and authority! Yes, you will travel the world! Yes, the books released through you will reach the ends of the earth! Yes, you will be fruitful and multiply! YES! YES! YES!
I chose some random things here, but REMEMBER whatever HE has promised you will come to pass when YOU WALK WITH HIM submitted, humble and always ready to continue the building. Don’t WRECK YOUR SHIP…. stay in your metron. Stay in the MEASURE he has given you for THIS DAY…
Line upon line! Little by little! A good teacher doesn’t necessarily make you a good mother or father overnight. There are other elements that the Lord sometimes have to add to us before that next puzzle piece can fall into place…

beings an awareness of eternity; but in such a way that they can’t fully
comprehend, from beginning to end, the things God does.”
Position yourselves so that destiny can find YOU, not so that you can chase destiny.
