The POWER of Follow-Through (2)

This morning during my personal prayer time, the Lord said this to me: “Beloved, my people are in need of follow through. Many cry out in need of blessings and breakthrough but fail to make the personal sacrifice to attain them. They are standing at a brick wall and I have not answered them. Tell them, they must learn to turn all these good intentions into actions, otherwise they stand as liars before me… and their prayers remain unanswered….”

St. Bernard of Clairvaux quoted this infamous proverb, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” In other words, there are people who wish or have a desire to do the right thing, but they never put those good intentions to work. Their wishes and desires become like unfruitful winds.

Is this how your life looks when you hold up the hour-glass of inspection? Are there thousands upon thousands of good intentions, unfulfilled commitments and promises floating about the atmosphere you’ve created over yourself? Close your eyes and picture this for a moment. Really imagine all those promises and vows you’ve made floating around you that were never walked out.

This is what I saw over MYSELF this morning as Father ministered to me. In the realm of the spirit people of God, this is clutter, interference, blockage… constipation. There is POWER in following through NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT, UNCOMFORTABLE OR UNBELIEVABLE those directives from God may be. Don’t let YOU block your next level. Pull that CLUTTER out of the atmosphere before you miss pivotal points in your destiny or purpose all together! Is laziness or fear WORTH THE COST?

It is so easy sometimes to point fingers at a person who stares you in the face and tells a lie out-right; but it’s VERY difficult to discern when we are also liars before God simply by failing to follow-through with all those “good intentions.” When considering this we must ask ourselves this question: Who is really the liar — the one who speaks lies or the one who lives under the clutter of lies?

It’s time to make full use of Holy Spirit (Ruach Hakodesh) in our lives. It’s time to ask Him to give us a wider revelational perspective of what it means to be obedient as we walk out our soul’s salvation. Lies aren’t simply told with loose tongues. They are also told with inaction, procrastination and laziness. You can be deemed a liar simply by having your “intentions” judged.

Father… this is THERESA… and I pray for follow-through.

Ezekiel 33:26-33 CJB describes these types of LIARS this way, “30 “Now you, human being, your people are gathering and talking about you by the walls and in the doorways of houses. They’re saying to each other, each one telling his brother, ‘Come, let’s go and hear the latest word coming from ADONAI.’ 31 So then they come to you, as people do, sit in front of you as my people, and hear your words; but they don’t act on them. For with their mouths they flatter you, but their hearts are set on their own self-interest; 32 so for them you are like a love-song sung by someone with a nice voice who can play an instrument well – they hear your words, but they don’t act on them. 33 So when all this comes true, then, at last, they will realize that a prophet has been there with them.”

I’ve had to spend time in repentance before the Lord on this. I’ve even had to make a list of things Holy Spirit has revealed to me so I can break them up in the spirit. Father showed me that I’ve been a liar before Him MANY TIMES. In my own self righteousness, I though I wasn’t a liar because I wasn’t going around TELLING LIES… only to discover that that lying spirit is far deeper than words.

As Ezekiel prophesied in Chapter 33:
(1) We are quick to run to the Lord;
(2) We are quick to talk about what the Lord has said and what the Lord has done;
(3) We are quick to run to this prayer meeting, that prayer line and this or that conference;
(4) We are quick to stand in agreement with what we hear and CLAIM we have it;
(5) We go through the motions of PRETENDING to love God and FLATTER HIM;
(6) We have the BEST INTENTIONS… but then FAIL TO FOLLOW THROUGH; and
(7) We have our OWN INTENTIONS.

At the end of that passage, there is a very subtle warning that WE MUST CATCH. Ezekiel prophesies this: “…they will realize that a prophet has been there with them.”

Yahshua says it this way, “They say Lord, Lord… but their hearts are far from me.”

Father, I — THERESA — repent for being a liar.

Before this year ends, I’ve asked God to rid me of this “propensity” to live my life out of good intentions. I pray you catch this in the spirit. Deliverance is in this statement! Breakthrough is in this statement!

Many who are reading this NOW HAVE AN ANSWER to why so many doors in their lives have remained shut and sealed. It’s not always what you have DONE, but what many of us have not done! Have you received instructions from the Lord AND THEN FAILED to follow through with those directives — no matter how small or impossible they may have seemed?

While it may not SEEM LIKE those directives were related to your SPECIFIC REQUEST from God, it could very well have been. God’s way of building is not OUR way of building. God’s way of breakthrough seldom follows a LOGICAL path. You see, the realm of the spirit is not like the natural world. The rules are different. Father doesn’t think like us. Your financial blessing may not be tied to GIVING MONEY to your church every Sunday out of routine, but sowing into a particular ministry at a specific time when Father FIRST PLACES IT ON YOUR HEART to do so. I’m learning that HESITATION HAS A PRICE!

A person operating in good intentions is BLIND to urgency and timing. They are numb to spiritual sight or discernment on SO MANY LEVELS. Sending that letter in the mail today or being a blessing to sister on you bus route could meet conditions that are set up in Heaven today that will take you to your next level. Those same conditions MIGHT NOT EXIST TOMORROW! I pray that you are getting this! If Father says fast for your healing today and you wait to do it next week, you may have MISSED YOUR TIME FOR A MIRACLE.

We don’t know what’s taking place in the earth realm or in Heaven on a continual basis. What we do know is this: “Our trust in God — in all things — is PIVOTAL to our spiritual and natural progression!” Just as we tell our children to act on our instructions immediately, Father expects the same from us!

My God! I pray you get this. Father, deliver THERESA of her good intentions… they can lead me to hell, they can stop up my blessings!

Father is saying this, “Beloved, there is a window of opportunity open in Heaven to redeem the time for those who have let slothfulness, unbelief and procrastination rob them of their faithfulness and obedience to me. Call them forth in repentance… call yourself forth in repentance NOW…”

Jeremiah 32 CJB the prophet prays this: 17 ‘Dear God, my Master, you created earth and sky by your great power – by merely stretching out your arm! There is nothing you can’t do. 18 You’re loyal in your steadfast love to thousands upon thousands – but you also make children live with the fallout from their parents’ sins. Great and powerful God, named God-of-the-Angel-Armies, 19 determined in purpose and relentless in following through, you see everything that men and women do and respond appropriately to the way they live, to the things they do.”

It is my prayer today that I — that we continuously take on the character of our Father. He is a Father who is: DETERMINED IN PURPOSE AND RELENTLESS IN FOLLOWING THROUGH….
