Word of the Lord: Walk Inside The Mantle

This morning as I drove home after getting everyone to their destination, I began interceding for an upcoming ministry engagement. The intercession and weight of Father’s presence was so heavy that I actually thought about pulling into the parking lot of a nearby store to allow Holy Spirit to work this out in me. Then, I heard the Lord say this: “I am calling you and I am calling my people THIS DAY to walk INSIDE THE MANTLE!”

I asked, “Father, how can we walk INSIDE the MANTLE? What is THE mantle? I don’t understand.” Well, I didn’t receive an immediate answer. Instead, Holy Spirit continued to minister to me about mantles — their functions and purposes — until I made it home. Then, Holy Spirit pulled me into the Word and began to minister to my Spirit and to my soul.

People of God, this is a little long. As I share this with you, I pray that you are able to receive and accurately digest what Father wants to activate in each us in a greater way TODAY, RIGHT NOW, in this EXACT moment. It is enforcing a message that many of us are hearing over and over and over again. It is my prayer that what Father has released will do what it has been ordained to do. Holy Spirit, convict, heal, deliver and set FREE in Jesus’ Name.

Prophetic Insight

In its most basic definition, a mantle is an intricate spiritual cloak or a covering of authority and anointing that is given to us by God at designated and/or appointed times in our lives to walk out or fulfill our destiny and purpose in Him. Mantles are aspects of the Lord’s Glory, even His very character. These mantles can have multiple purposes or functions; and are released to us as we elevate to levels of spiritual maturity and growth in God. There are many people in the grave today who never wore the mantles designed or designated for them.

These “mantles” exist to enable us to fulfill John 14:12 in whatever capacity in which we’ve been sent. This passage of scripture says, “Yes, indeed! I tell you that whoever trusts in me will also do the works I do! Indeed, he will do greater ones, because I am going to the Father.”

You see, just as Elisha received a double portion of Elijah’s mantle (2 Kings); so have we received a double portion of the mantle of Yahshuah, Jesus Christ.

Are their many types of mantles? Yes, there are all types of MANTLES that we could discuss. In today’s time, we hear a lot about apostolic mantles and prophetic mantles. We hear about the generational mantles of the varying five-fold offices or the mantles that the 12 tribes wore. But there is one MANTLE that supercedes THEM ALL… and it is in THIS PLACE that Father is calling us to WALK INSIDE.

What is this “INSIDE” place that Father is referring to? This “INSIDE” place is a point of positioning. It is a place of being closed in and consumed in the shadow of the almighty. It is a place of abiding in that secret place of the Most High in which nothing can penetrate that atmosphere that is not like Him. It is a place of exponential and supernatural growth in spiritual maturity, authority and command. Acts 17:26-28 CJB says it this way, “26 “From one man he made every nation living on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the limits of their territories and the periods when they would flourish. 27 God did this so that people would look for him and perhaps reach out and find him although in fact, he is not far from each one of us, 28 ‘for in him we live and move and exist.'”

You see, this INSIDE PLACE is a place of living according to the FIXED LIMITS of the our territories (realms of authority) and PERIODS(designated places and times) in which it was predestined for us to flourish — as individuals and corporately. People of God, this INSIDE place that Father is speaking to me about is LIVING FULLY and MOVING FULLY and EXISTING FULLY in Yahshuah– separate from the wilds of this world. It is walking out the EPISTLE of our lives.

When Father said to me, “Walk INSIDE (living fully, moving fully and existing fully in) the MANTLE,” — this is the type of walking he’s talking about.

In addition, Father used the phrase: “the MANTLE.” I really had to hear him greater in regards to this do to all the teachings and “my understanding” about mantles and what they’ve come to do. In this instance, He is not talking about a WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENT MANTLES — but of one…. that foundational mantle.

We are going to get to that in just a minute. But first, let’s take one more look at this Word of Lord with the understanding we now have…

You see people of God, we are living in a time not much different from that of our biblical patriarchs. Not only is the world wicked and full of sin; but we have people in our congregations who have also turned their backs on the Lord. Please walk with me with this, as we are getting to “the MANTLE” that Father wants us to focus on NOW, TODAY. We are getting to the heart of WHAT WE REALLY NEED verses WHAT WE FIND OURSELVES PURSUING.

Isaiah prophesied this in Isaiah 59:1-17 CJB concerning the children of Israel (or the Body of Christ today):

1 ADONAI’s arm is not too short to save, nor is his ear too dull to hear. 2 Rather, it is your own crimes that separate you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he doesn’t hear. 3 For your hands are stained with blood and your fingers with crime; your lips speak lies, your tongues utter wicked things. 4 No one sues with just cause, no one pleads honestly in court, they trust in empty words and say worthless things; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil. 5 They hatch viper eggs and spin spiderwebs; whoever eats their eggs dies, and the crushed egg hatches a snake. 6 Their webs are useless as clothing, their deeds are useless for wearing; their deeds are deeds of wickedness, their hands produce violence. 7 Their feet run to evil, they rush to shed innocent blood, their thoughts are thoughts of wickedness, their paths lead to havoc and ruin. 8 The way of shalom they do not know, their goings-about obey no law, they make devious paths for themselves; no one treading them will ever know shalom.

9 This is why justice is far from us, and righteousness doesn’t catch up with us; we look for light, but see only darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloom. 10 We grope for the wall like the blind; like people without eyes we feel our way; we stumble at noonday as if it were dusk, we are in dark places like the dead. 11 We growl, all of us, like bears and moan pitifully like doves; we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far from us. 12 For our crimes multiply before you, our sins testify against us; for our crimes are present with us; and our sins, we know them well: 13 rebelling and denying ADONAI, turning away from following our God, talking about oppression and revolt, uttering lies which our hearts have conceived. 14 Thus justice is repelled, righteousness stands apart, at a distance; for truth stumbles in the public court, and uprightness cannot enter. 15 Honesty is lacking, he who leaves evil becomes a target. ADONAI saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice.

16 He saw that there was no one, was amazed that no one interceded. Therefore his own arm brought him salvation, and his own righteousness sustained him. 17 He put on righteousness as his breastplate, salvation as a helmet on his head; he clothed himself with garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in a mantle of zeal.“

What we are experiencing today among the people of God is not much different than what Isaiah prophesied here. We have all these things going on around us BUT VERY FEW PEOPLE ARE CRYING OUT intercession in prayer. What you have are people PURSUING GOD’S STUFF… thinking they are pursuing Him. I’ve heard people talk about mantles from a position of entitlement… as if only an elite group of people are entitled to them and they are a part of this very exclusive crowd. Their pursuits are solely in lust for these mantles — whether it be dance or scribal mantles, mantles of the five-fold ministry or other mantles that are released from Heaven. Father wants to PUT AN END TO THIS… and bring us into right understanding in this season… that we are no longer blind….

Take a CLOSE look at verses 16 and 17. Isaiah prophesied in verse 16 that God was AMAZED because no one was interceding in the midst of all this chaos around them. As a result, he set forth His vision for Christ to come into the earth… to bring JUSTICE. He set forth His vision for Christ to become our great intercessor…

People of God, the mantle of our REDEMPTION was the mantle of Intercession. Intercession is the TRUE ZEAL of ministry. It is the FOUNDATION FOR ALL BIRTH PAINS and the forces of labor and delivery. In this HOUR, WE ARE BEING COMMANDED BY GOD to PURSUE THIS MANTLE… in the midst of all the other MANTLES SO MANY WANT TO EAGERLY CLAIM.

People of God, the mantle of all MANTLES is the ONE CHRIST grew and matured into during His time on the earth! Yes, he took on the mantle of teacher, priest, prophet, King, etc. HE DID ALL OF THESE THINGS as an example to us… but I tell you, HE NEVER NEGLECTED the ministry of prayer… and intercession…

What’s even more significant is that when HE FINISHED His physical work in the earth, he took on the MANTLE OF INTERCESSION in the midst of HIS SERVANTHOOD as FULL-TIME MINISTRY. He is now our great Intercessor… abiding in this place under the SHADOW of the almighty until He returns for His Bride.

In the midst of all our pursuits to answer our calling…. we must understand that NOT ONE OF THE MANTLES CAN FUNCTION IN THEIR TRUE POWER AND AUTHORITY WITHOUT THE VISION OF THE MANTLE OF OUR CHRIST — INTERCESSION!

Why is this significant? Because we must walk INSIDE INTERCESSION! Christ is INTERCESSION! When we, as a people, take on the MANTLE OF ZEAL — which is the ZEAL TO STAND IN THE GAP (AS CHRIST DID) …. we will be made by God himself into hell’s worst nightmare so-to-speak.

There’s so much more to this, but I pray that what Father has shared… is fulfilled in the hearts of those assigned to it today.{jcomments on}
