Word of the Lord
“Many of my people are in denial. They are eating from the table of my enemy, instead of the table I have set before them,” says the Lord. “I am urging you today to turn down the plate that darkness and death offers. Turn away from your wickedness. Commit your ways to me, and deny your flesh. Attend the banquet that I have PREPARED for you and I will show myself mighty on your behalf.”
Insight Into the Word
Matthew 22:1-8 CJB says, “1 Yeshua again used parables in speaking to them: 2 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son, 3 but when he sent his slaves to summon the invited guests to the wedding, they refused to come. 4 So he sent some more slaves, instructing them to tell the guests, `Look, I’ve prepared my banquet, I’ve slaughtered my bulls and my fattened cattle, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding!’ 5 But they weren’t interested and went off, one to his farm, another to his business; 6 and the rest grabbed his slaves, mistreated them and killed them. 7 The king was furious and sent his soldiers, who killed those murderers and burned down their city. 8 “Then he said to his slaves, `Well, the wedding feast is ready; but the ones who were invited didn’t deserve it.”
This morning, Father brought a nugget that my pastor preached on Sunday back into my spirit and too me deeper into it. As I meditated on that short phrase I heard during Sunday service, I began seeing people eating at festive table. Everything that they wanted was there — pastries, meat, pies and all manner of drink.
There were some people I knew sitting around this table and IT DISTURBED ME. They were getting full on the food that was offered, not realizing that the presentation of the table was only an illusion. In reality, they were eating from a pigs trough – satan’s table. The bulls and cattle presented to them weren’t sacrifices at all — but diseased, rancid, rotten sacrifices that they could not recognize.
Father began contrasting, the table of satan with the table of the “Wedding Feast.” Satan’s table represented ONE’S FOCUS on the flesh. It represented the FRUIT OF THE FLESH according to Galatians 5:19 which describes it this way: 9Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that(AL) those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
In this illustration, Father began to show me that those seated at THIS TABLE were EATING the LIES of the enemy — like inferiority, insecurity, complaining, discontentment, depression, heaviness and so forth. They were GORGING on these things… unable to break free. They knew the Word. They had heard the Word, but for some reason… they were holding on to the lies, nursing them, licking the bones…. and TOTALLY IGNORING the table Father had set. The food was so rotten and spoiled that the SPIRIT & SOULS of those at this table were literally killing them. While they were aware of their sickness, they SEEMED powerless to overcome it.
The “table of the Lord” was beautifully adorned; however, those eating from it began to take on this glow… like the glow Daniel and his friends had when Father commanded him to prepare for His meeting with the King. This table, this wedding feast, was adorned with true sustenance… the unadulterated word of God. Every pie, cake and piece of meat represented the fruit of the Spirit according to Galatians 5:22 which reads, “But(AM) the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
People of God, as long as we wallow and roll around in the pigs trough we are DENYING and REJECTING our Kingdom inheritance. The Lord sacrificed HIS BEST OFFERING for us — Christ Jesus. When we reject the FEAST, and choose to dwell in troughs of gossip, jealousy, regret,condemnation or what have you…. we are standing in the face of God saying, “Satan’s table is better than yours… and we GORGE ourselves on the enemies lies.”
What we meditate on IS INDEED our food. You see, those Father invited to feast REFUSED HIM… and even MISTREATED HIS MESSENGERS. Are you in this place? Do you despise the TABLE Father has set for you… and cling to your places of self-pity and pain? So many people are refusing meat in this hour… they’d rather run with GOATS… and with WOLVES… in the centers of division, gossip and self pity… than crucify their flesh and serve the Lord.
This morning, people of God, Father is urging us to consider WHERE WE ARE GOING FOR DINNER? The choice is yours…
