Jerimiah 1:10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Whatever God has set you over, personally and via your scribal assignment it needs to be advanced. It’s time for God to come into the spotlight!
To advance is to:
· To bring forward, to proceed
o Let’s see the fruit!
o What is God saying your fruit should look like
· To move towards the front of the army, to increase and make progress
o Allow the God in you to come into places of leadership and of ownership
o Wherever He is bringing you to the forefront – own it!
· To raise, be promoted or elevated, in rank or office via favor (you are promoted, and preferred)
o Being preferred – this is nothing but the favor of God!
o Allow God to bring you before great men and women.
o Don’t resist God’s promotion and God’s favor.
· To accelerate the growth or process of
o If you are on a bicycle see yourself in a car, if you are on a train see yourself in an airplane
o Don’t be afraid to accelerate at God speed
· To bring into view or notice
o We want to make God’s name great
o Deuteronomy 32:3 Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
o In different arena’s, God will put you on blast! In a good way!
As we build and advance we want to make sure we are doing so on a God foundation.
Today’s buzz word is sustainability! We have been encouraged all year by Apostle Theresa to create generational legacy.
Jerimiah 1:10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Father thank You for exposing what is not of a firm foundation
Set – scribal term – also used in scriptures as officer (Moses, called out the 70 first scribes)
· Root out – pluck up by the roots
o examine stubbornness, and areas un-yielded to Holy Spirit
· Pull down – destroy, break down, cast down
o idols are things we place above what God has said (called to the nations but no passport)
o places we feel unprepared for
o and the high places shall come down (favorite hymn)
· Destroy – perish, die, and be exterminated
o There are somethings we have not cut the head off of.
o David had to cut the head off the spirit of Goliath,
§ Goliath – splendor (root to uncover),
§ He lived in his own splendor, like his father the devil
§ Used the same tactics – if you are able?
o When something is not completely exterminated, there are possible offspring lying dormant and the enemy is waiting for the right time to resurrect them
· Throw down –
o To pull down and destroy houses, cities, walls – strongholds
· Build
o to build, rebuild, establish, cause to continue
o You could be in any of these phases – it’s ok, wherever you are advance!
o You may have to regroup on a scribal assignment that is not complete, let God give you His priorities
o The purpose of building is to bring stability so the prosperity of God can come, the shalom of the Lord
· Plant
o To set something to be fixed into the ground with a Godly root system
o This planting speaks of your root system
o One definition states this: To plant a people, to assign them a settled residence
§ God wants and need His people settled!
All of these can be progressing simultaneously, because each of our lives and our assignments are in different stages.
I believe the seed of this word was in me as we came into the Scribal Advance. I believe this word is a key to becoming successful 21st Century Scribes.
We must each advance with proper foundation.
