The Importance of Teaching Your Books

Prophetic scribes MUST teach if the material released to them is instructional in nature. As we teach extensively in The School of the Scribe, the ancient anointing of the prophetic scribe is often rooted in the calling of a teacher.

As many know, teachers are OCD concerning helping others understand. The prophetic teacher, however, is driven in this area especially if they have developed their own curriculum, bible studies, or specific prophetic messages through blogs, books, etc. If you are beginning in ministry or stand on the cusps of your next level, teaching live or in person becomes an oil to The Scribal Anointing upon your life.

Today, I heard Father say: “Do not rely on podcasts, video messages, or other digital recording messages or methods as the SOLE way to reach your audience. In doing so, teacher’s shut off or limit the spontaneous prophetic flow from their lives and the messages become stagnant. Rather, continue to build by teaching live on your subject matter as often as possible. In doing so, the prophetic gifts are continuing to stir at a rapid pace and new wine is imparted… expanding the subject matter to expand with each prophetic teaching. Do not fall in the record and forget it trap… the archiving mentality too soon.”

In this, I recognize that there is a time and a place for archiving for listening and review. But for many prophetic scribes, the expanding place of revelation concerning what is in those books is still at work. Literally, just because you complete a book does not mean you are finished writing it. We are LIVING EPISTLES and often, revelation will continue to be activated by those who have a need to drink from your river.

Money, online courses, schools, all of those temporal things are extremely popular now. This isn’t negative — but it can be deceptive. For many of God’s prophetic scribes, the pool must never become stagnant. Those with decades in minstry or who have logged thousands of hours of teaching can do this! But it is not so for most of God’s teachers, scribes. Their waters must be stirred so that greater can come forth… and new wells are dug. Every class of scribes PRODUCE new revelatory insight and understanding. It is THE WAY OF THE SPIRIT to produce what is ALIVE — NOT DEAD! He releases water for NOW… not THEN!

Dig it out.

Teach LIVE and IN-PERSON often.

Teach to those DRAWN to your sound.

Allow Holy Spirit to expand the message based on the pull and need of the people.

Learn to flow prophetically instead of by script continuously.

These points outline the importance of teaching your books and other published instructional materials. When the time is right, you will grow into knowing when to archive, when to make your teachings available and walk away and into a new subject.

But until then, allow Holy Spirit to excavate the revelation in you. Allow Holy Spirit to draw from the deep wells of the prophetic… stirring and activating the gift.

I heard Father say: “Stagnation has come to some in this season because they have relied on digital means instead of direct human interaction. Their motive has been for profit over prophetic growth. Open the gates and walk through. Pour into A PEOPLE, not into the wind.”

YOU ARE PROPHETIC SCRIBES! I pray that we are able to balance the static aspects of our calling in line with the constant press and flow of the spirit.
