I heard this: Step away from the situation, NOW! No longer will you apologize for guarding your heart — choosing to step away from legitimate situations that have and are detrimental to your physical, emotional or spiritual safety. You owe NO ONE your peace… that inward prosperity that I have ordained for you. You are not obligated to present yourself to or in abusive environments.
You do not have to return to your murderer to make amends. Rather, the murderer should make amends to you by admitting his crimes and asking for forgiveness. This, beloved, is the right thing. Understand that forgiveness can mean “reconciled peace in your heart, free of offense” – not necessarily returning to the place of death for friendship.
Beloved, I have and I am covering you through this. I am standing with you as the pressure to give in to the desires and expectations of others weigh upon you. I am with you in your loneliness, the shunning, and isolation… the manipulation that you are facing.
I have strengthened you to RESIST your adversaries…. and choose a new way. Know that I AM on this journey with you. Know that what looks like LOSS is in actuality significant spiritual gain.
Owe no man nothing but love.
Guard your heart.
Lean into MY understanding. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
