Prophetic Word: Prophetic Writing, Elders & the Disabled

Beloved, I am sending forth a new mandate of release through PROPHETIC WRITING in this season. I am raising up prophetic pens (voices, writers) committed to “building bridges” for the disabled community, the elderly population said the Lord.

I am directing their pens to write about the injustices and disregard this population has experienced from many among my congregation, and solutions that will draw all my people together in power, strength, honor and love. These prophetic pens (voices/writers) will speak into the value of all people – digging into both problem and solution, crying out for compassion and for some, crying out for remembrance of the profound contributions of that these populations of people have brought forth. Get ready to tear down the myths, misconceptions, the desire to dismiss and discard.


Beloved, expect an increase in ideas for blogs, children’s books, short films, devotions, curriculums, areas of advocacy, anthologies, inclusive environments where honor shines forth, and highways and bridges are built to close the divide. Get ready for memorials to be made and honors given for pioneers among these populations who have tilled the ground, cleared the roads, made a way… established blueprints and drawn necessary lines in the sand.

Get ready to tell the uncommon story – the one that has not been traditionally set between the pages of books and across the movie screens in our prophetic history. Beloved, I am calling you to change culture. I am calling you to set the stage for a completely NEW frontier among my apostolic people. I am calling you to break ground with your prophetic pen (voices/writers). I am calling you to blaze across this frontier that brings my whole Body together – in the restoration of honor where it has been lacking.

  • Expect the dream realm to open up.
  • Expect the purpose of your prophetic pen to be made clearer.
  • Expect The Scribal Anointing® to overtake you.
  • Expect to restore the foundations in the hearts of men.
  • Expect efficiency and effectiveness in your assignment.
Yes, beloved, great effort has been made to focus on youth and young adults as the heritage of the Lord. This is good and desirable, but it was never supposed to be at the expense of ignoring the elders of the congregation, the older among you in the Lord or at the expense of those whom society often sees as less through disabilities or unique challenges. I am calling you to shine light on the value of my people – opening ears and establishing critical and necessary truths.

Beloved, the power of your pen is needed in this season with this message. RISE UP! Amen.

NOTE: I believe there are several spiritual principles in the passage that still apply and can be built upon today about honoring the aged and those who are aliens (foreigners/strangers) among us. I believe we can interpret the later as considering populations of people whom we may not understand as well as people whom we do not know. I believe that “among you” can indicate within our spheres of influence/impact.

Leviticus 19:32-34 says, “Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the LORD. When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.”

Deuteronomy 32:7 says, “Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you.”
