I have written extensively over the past three years about the “New Frontier” that we have pioneered as prophetic scribes. In this new century, I discussed the window of opportunity that extended across the first 25 years of this century and how “the opportunity of this time” is rapidly approaching.
As a reminder, I heard this as a tremendous urgency came upon me: “A critical window is closing for scribes in both sacred and secular communities.”
This word specifically correlates with the digital age, the massive rise of social networking, the dependency on digital devices and how all of it has transformed and continues to influence communication, publishing, education, and the entertainment in the 21st century. It also confirms that this part of the century has been a womb for the awakening of the present-day scribe through The Scribal Anointing for those who have been bold enough to explore and extend its prophetic boundaries in administrative, instructional, and creative arenas.
As a result, nations globally have struggled to control the boundaries that govern publishing, the dissemination of information, laws regarding intellectual property, copyright, and fair use, or even freedom of speech. New technologies have created new challenges for the individual, corporate entities and governments.
As a caution, Holy Spirit has consistently pressed it upon me to encourage scribes in sacred and secular arenas to produce, publish, print, establish businesses and organizations unhindered during this pioneering and exploratory season because there would come a time with law, legislation and greed would regain a foothold filled with gates and gatekeepers that would adapt, learn and begin to limit, restrict and monetize this “frontier.”
In light of recent events in the United States, we are seeing this process take shape social media giants began to reveal their power to determine what communications can filter through the digital gates. While this seems like a political connection, the call to awareness is broader than politics, and more inclined toward the collective role of publishing in a digital world as private, public and government influence clarify what types of information is viable for broad publication.
I heard Father say, “Do not neglect your prophetic scribal assignments and mandates over the course of these next four years – as the first quarter of the 21st century closes… and this pioneering window opens its next season. The next 25-years will not look like the first. We will see many of the freedoms we have enjoyed in this digital and social media revolution take on a new role. We will see access to certain technologies and even the freedom to create new platforms fall in the hands of rising digital gatekeepers who will cloud the boundaries of current freedoms to publish.’
I saw large, dominating digital publishing platforms begin to restrict certain types of books from being sold in digital stores and on certain platforms where visibility is the greatest. I saw increased limitations on the kinds of content eligible to be published on website, blog, ecommerce, and e-course platforms.
I heard an urgent cry for the prophetic, scribal community to “get their platforms, publications, online communities, digital repositories, etc.” in order, and to establish other critical projects and systems before 2025. There will be loopholes for those who have prepared in advance for what is coming. There will be systems in place for the prepared congregation to maintain its own digital spaces, and to aid others. God has made a way for escape for the prepared.
I heard Father say, “The Scribal Anointing is rising up in my scribes who code and build applications within my congregations. Through their hands, I am releasing new technologies and expanding existing realms exclusively for my people. These technologies, the knowledge and the wisdom pouring out of them will set the stage for my global congregation over the next decade. I am using this time to bring forth treasure.” Amen
