There is nothing wrong with being confident as sons…. as long as that confidence is rooted in the revealing of Christ in us – not narcissism masquerading as a humanized form greatness.
Confidence in the kingdom is rooted in the entire concept of assurance in Christ:
– the assurance of identity
-the assurance of Sonship
-the assurance of delegated authority
-the assurance of grace and mercy
-the assurance of power
-the assurance of inheritance
-the assurance of dominion
-the assurance of fulfillment
-the assurance of being image and likeness
-the assurance of freedom in Christ
-the assurance of victory
-the assurance of eternity, and so on.
It is NOT confidence in any system outside of the Kingdom working for our good. It is a confidence rooted in our Christ-DNA… the very structure of our Born Again status.
Any assurance we HOLD is based on being fully persuaded that Christ is for us and with us in our pure Sonship, not against us – no matter what direction a storm may blow.
Ephesians 3:12 declares, “In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”
The PRIDE IN A MAN’S heart is what causes him to “take assurance or mount confidence” in his own perceived greatness…. and build motivational, elevating theologies around it as if God is no longer looking for himself or his selfless Word.
We have created a nation of FALSE CONFIDENCE… one of fallacies and phallic symbols around the things humanity adores but God abhors.
The Lord’s intention is not rooted on our earthly systems and rewards. It’s rooted in receiving the grace of His Word and the intention of His existence. You see, at the end of the day he wants sons that walk the earth like Jesus but live in the ascended mind of Christ. This is the REWARD of confidence – assurety, persuasion of faith and life. This is what all manner of confidence finds in its summation at the doorstep of salvation.
No earth-magic and sorcerous words will ever change the endgame or the call for an immersive life of confidence in Christ.
Christ HAS His Bride… and we are living under a daily opportunity to join its pure ranks.
Confidence today has become a banner of justification among supposed believing people.
It has become a cry to do, to live, to say, and to stand for what is both righteous and foul without apology. Like the peacock, it presents itself in splendor and beauty and speech and vogue — daring the ASSURED to challenge it.
But we see.
We mourn.
We cry… for the kind of humility that always flows into “blessed assurance” – the confidence of the finished work of Christ within.
Peacocks strut.
Sons’ kneel, bow, serve and weep… in their assurance of hope in Christ. Not in the assurance of earthly pleasure, rewards, and outward praise from men.
The only truth we can cling to in our supernatural confidence is found in Phil 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
We are watching a nation – naturally and spiritually – brimming over its edges and spilling over in self.
May repentance and immersion be our portion in this very moment. Amen. #chamberofthescribe
