Beware of constant predictive prophecy. Many of my people have fallen into a practice of foreshadowing in the name of the Lord. So much so, that it has become a “point of contact” for many who purport to be present day prophets.
Many of these predictions are the “telling of the future” without critical areas released established by Holy Spirit that reveal Christ. Those three areas include: the Lords intention, provision for His people, and the “the whys of it” after the pattern set by the prophets before us. Literally, the INTENTION OF PROPHECY is nonexistent in these releases.
In the prophetic realm “of the Kingdom,” the Lord always points to himself at the center with a clear path set for divine will.
While the Lord is indeed preparing the congregation for what is before us and what is to come with insight, warnings, etc., IT IS NOT SIMPLY PREDICTIVE. It is also not separate from His eternal purposes. (Check Out, Poetry as Prophecy IS NOT a Special Anointing)
Remember The Lord’s Design for Prophecy
Deuteronomy 18:9 declares, “When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations.”
Acts 16:16 declares, “It happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a slave-girl having a spirit of divination met us, who was bringing her masters much profit by fortune-telling.”
BE CAREFUL of mimics, people who have tapped into prediction from familiarity and forms of godliness where there is endless words, but those words are not pointing toward the Source. They will give you facts, information, etc. in the form of fortunes but will not be able to carry that word from the Lord’s heart for His people.
Study the biblical pattern of prophecy. Watch out for the arrogance, pride, and positioning of self that this kind of behavior brings.
I heard Father say, “Remind my people to look for my cry toward what is eternal, unifying, cohesive, comprehensible and building for the corporate Kingdom. Beware of excessive pointing to self, one’s ability to hear and individual effort. Remember that the power of MY SPIRIT speaks only of me. Look for my son’s pattern of release not the work of psychic ability. Resist This Rising Deception Among Prophetic People
Rebuke the waves of deception that comes through the worship of gifts, callings… and the pull into pride, performance. This is the trap that has entangled many in this hour.
“Warn my people not to be ENAMORED BY PREDICTION but to FOLLOW PRESENCE, FOLLOW MY WORD! Cause them to remember what I have accomplished, what is written and promised for them. Expose the circus. I am speaking to the heart of my people, the heart of my congregation and calling them into a deep, healing, unifying place based solely focused on my son and not the machinations of people, self-ambition and witchcraft,” says the Lord.
“You will know my WORD by MY FRUIT which remains, by my desire to see my Kingdom strengthened and most of all by my love. Get ready to be taught of me afresh and anew, as I weed out other voices and clear up the hearing of my people.” Amen.
Holy Spirit is the Architect of Prophecy
Remember, those who belong to the Lord are only able to hear Him due to the gift of Holy Spirit on the inside of us. Holy Spirit can only lead us according to the will of God, not the will of man.
Foundationally, we are taught that Holy Spirit can only speak what He hears the Father say. Learning what this looks like is critical to our faith. (Check out my series on “Identifying False Prophets”)
