Don’t allow the concept of mastery to be overwhelming or to cause someone to see it as a title or as bragging. ALL mastery means is that someone has an in/depth, COMPREHENSIVE understanding in an area of study, interest, skill or ability.
They see “that area from its many facets” and can walk in and out of that understanding with ease AND ACCURACY/PRECISION – while still growing, learning and adapting in that area with increasing knowledge.
What blesses us is that MASTERY is COMPOUNDED when there is revelation. In addition, there is an endless well of things people can become masters in.
I think of Gordon Ramsey who began as a chef, moved to restaurateur and now raising masters through the master chef franchise. We can see how he has leveled up from afar and moved from mastery to being a master. (I like cooking shows and competitions so… that’s why I used this example.)
We can see mastery of skill AND mastery of vision walking side by side.
In the scriptures, David was a master of music and war. Bezalel was a master of artistry and instruction. Many biblical scribes wrote in and spoke in multiple languages fluently… which can be an area of mastery. Too many examples to list…
Just some additional thoughts to add. I know that many of you have probably dug deeply into this topic yourselves, but there are some here that I pray are ignited in their vision and movement… #chamberofthescribe
