(This content concerning the dispensations of the scribe is original and is not borrowed or copied from anyone else’s content. Our goal is to always provide scribes with insight based solely on a revelation of The Scribal Anointing.)

The journey of Moses marks the beginning of the first “dispensation of scribes” as taught through The Scribal Anointing teachings. It marks the first time in the congregation’s history that we see scribes (along with priests and elders) ordained and set into ministry – with no division or classification that indicated that their duties or calling were menial (Read Numbers 11:16-34).

The Moses Era

As discussed in The Scribal Anointing (2011), these scribes were chosen by Moses as a part of an “ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP” to help relieve the burdens that were falling upon him in ministry. The first dispensation of the scribe was one of administrative rescue, burden-bearing, and help. The council consisted of 71 members, including Moses, and was made of one-third each of priests, elders, and scribes recognized by title and profession in the Bronze Age.

They were classed together, and often, during Moses’s priesthood, their roles were interchangeable regarding “title and function.” For example, scripture reveals that some scribes were both priests and scribes. At the same time, they also served in advancing administrative interests across the communities that led that involved many administrative duties. In addition, these leaders were already in leadership roles as heads of households and were known by Moses for their righteousness and dedication to God long before the defining days of consecration and ordination.

Did scribes exist among the people before this time? Yes, they did. Were they in various scribal capacities dedicated to the Kingdom before this time? Yes, they were. BUT THEY WERE NOT ORGANIZED SPECIFICALLY FOR A DIVINE MANDATE TO ADMINISTRATE AND GOVERN THE KINGDOM ALONGSIDE THE PRIESTLY ORDER UNTIL MOSES.

A Game Changing Dispensation

This dispensation was a game-changer for us and an explanation of why and how we build theology around “The Scribal Anointing,” the 21st-century revelation of the office of the prophetic scribe. In The Scribal Anointing book, we introduced its three levels back in 2006. When walking through history and other biblical accounts, we quickly learn that this group brought significant help to Moses. (Enroll in the Course, The Administrative Anointing of the Scribe)

Remember, scribes played a crucial role in the Sanhedrin as Jewish assembly of leaders with authority to interpret and enforce Jewish law. They were responsible for a wide range of ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES (Deuteronomy 17:8-13). And most amazingly, this group received an outpouring of the Spirit CORPORATELY… that has been felt throughout biblical history until this very day. (Check out the article, The Five Dispensations of the Scribe.)

While we consider writing a core foundation of scribal ministry, it was not the primary focus from the lense of their time — recording was. The two are not the same. Inside the online scribe school, we present the BREADTH of the responsibilities of these scribes during this dispensation as revealed to us.

In our teachings, it is our premise that the understanding of the biblical prophetic scribe BEGIN AS A CORPORATE RELEASE organized by God for eternal purpose (Numbers 11:16-24).

It helps us follow our scribal advancement but also helps us see that not all dispensations of scribes survived. What a pioneering time Moses lived in, and how amazing it is to SEE that scribes were instrumental in building the first congregational pattern for Kingdom: GOVERNMENT ON EARTH.
