This is the final part of the series on, The Spirit of Rebekah: Master Manipulator, that I began several years ago. However, this post is long. To read this article series in context, please check out: The Spirit of Rebekah: Master Manipulator Part I and The Spirit of Rebekah: Master Manipulator Part II. Please note that all of my articles are based on clarity given to me in my prayer time from situations I have lifted before God. I share these articles and experiences in hope that those assigned to them gain answers and instructions along their journey.

Can Rebekah be delivered?

YES! She can. The first step to Rebekah’s deliverance, however, depends on her ability to SEE, IDENTIFY, ACKNOWLEDGE & OWN her own sin. Then, her heart must be tempered for repentance and healing. Getting to this place is often difficult for someone operating in the Spirit of Rebekah because they believe themselves to be a “type of Holy Spirit” – someone with the complete vision of God who has been sent by his design. They have locked themselves into a very warped view of who they are in the spirit – often esteeming themselves as apostles and prophets.

Take a look at this conversation Jacob had with Rebekah, his mother. We have to go in this direction to truly outline God’s heart of deliverance. This scenario provides some insight into how this manipulative spirit responds when exposed.

Shutting Down the Victim Mentality (2)

Sometimes, it’s not always easy to identify when we are in a pit — a deep, dark hole that is obstructing our perspective due to an unnamed, unconfronted or unidentified stronghold in our lives. But I tell you, a clear sign of being in a pit is living in self-denial – unable to see one’s own condition, and spending an enormous amount of time living in the valleys of heaviness instead of  PRACTICING self-motivation and self-propulsion in the Spirit. Daily we must remind ourselves that we are MORE SPIRIT than natural. We are created in the very image of God and therefore, we have the power to press upward and out of those dark places with the strength God provides.

People of God, either we believe he is an all powerful God or we believe that He isn’t. This is the question that I place before you today as we identify “the victim mentality” that has taken hold of the hearts of God’s people and “SHUT THIS STRONGHOLD DOWN.” It is EVICTION TIME! YES. It can be shut down. David gave us a valuable example how it can be done.

1 Samuel 30:6 CJB says, “David was in serious trouble: the people were talking about stoning him to death, because all the people were in such deep grief, each man over his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in Adonai his God.”

I, Paul, Write This Greeting In My Own Hand

For years, I’ve been fascinated with this statement that the Apostle Paul made at the beginning of his letters.

He said: “I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.” This statement also appears in: 1 Corinthians 16:21, Galatians 6:11; Colossians 4:18; and 2 Thessalonians 3:17.

Why? Well, it reminds us that while the letters of the New Covenant are indeed inspired, they started out as simple letters written to specific people and groups among the Body. If God is indeed the same yesterday today and every, then this certainty speaks volumes concerning the seriousness of the inspired books that we pen. Don’t misunderstand. I’m not saying we are writing “scripture.” I am, however, saying that God gives weight to the inspired pen of the scribe.

Understanding Generational Differences in Scribal Ministry (2)

Posted on 02/05/2014 by Theresa Harvard Johnson

Copyright 2011 Theresa Harvard Johnson Several months ago, I was contacted by someone who was put off by something they read from another writer in a social community I oversee. They interpreted that writing as “something is not right here and please watch that person.” So, I went back and read the writing in question….
