(This article is intended to touch your hearts concerning the weight of our call. It is in no way written to condemn, but to convict. It is to prompt us to fully release Holy Spirit to reveal the motives of our hearts to us. For those of you who are assigned to read this article, I pray that you are blessed, and that Holy Spirit will do what He was ordained to do on the inside of you in this very hour. To Father alone be the Glory.)

Back in 2005 when I finishing my first instruction manual, The Scribal Anointing: Scribes Instructed in the Kingdom of Heaven, I had a powerful visitation from the Lord. I was on the brink of planning a county-wide poetry slam when Father woke me up in the middle of the night and said plainly, “Beloved, I have not called you to do this. Shut it down.”

Book Review: Seasoned With His Love (Poetry)

Posted on 11/05/2012 by Theresa Harvard Johnson

Seasoned With His Love by Deborah Watkins
Book Review Written by Theresa Harvard Johnson

In everyone’s life, there will come a time of reflection – a pause for the soul in which we consider our decisions, experiences and ponder the relationships that have impacted us most.

Through meditations, anecdotes and poetry, Author Deborah Heath Watkins takes us on such a reflection through her book, Seasoned With His Love. She showers us with encouragement and comfort as she shares some of her own personal hardships and triumphs. Her poetic reflections tap into the beauty of life – our ability to overcome great obstacles, the joy of being loved, learning to love and loving others.

It is clear that Watkins voice speaks deeply from a place of unwavering faith and gratefulness.  She reaches readers with a simple message, “The love of God and your love for others is the only thing in this world that will last.”  It is clear that Watkins writes from a pen of wisdom and with a desire to see others “stop and smell the roses.  And let the God kind of love guide you always.”

Book Review: Governors of Praise, Releasing Heaven on Earth

Posted on 11/05/2012 by Theresa Harvard Johnson

Book Authored by Joshua Fowler
Book Review written by Theresa Harvard Johnson

Life changing!

These are the only two words that can adequately express the impact the book, Governors of Praise: Releasing Heaven on Earth by Joshua Fowler, has had on my life. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t release it until my spirit had devoured the very last page. I was full, and knew that this wasn’t just a book – but a reference tool and prayer book – that I would be walking through for years to come.

Truly, Holy Spirit has blown all over this book!

I’ve sat under and listened to many teachings on the power of praise and worship; and its impact in the Kingdom of God. While my studies and those messages did set strong foundations in my life, this book pushed me into a spiritually elevated, next-level transformation. My thought process, spiritual understanding and approach to praise and worship will never, ever be the same.

Book Review: His Daughters Do Prophesy by Marion Clark Ingram

Book Review by Theresa Harvard Johnson

Gal-at-ians 3:24-28 CJB says, “Accordingly, the Torah functioned as a custodian until the Messiah came, so that we might be declared righteous on the ground of trusting and being faithful. But now that the time for this trusting faithfulness has come, we are no longer under a custodian.

“For in union with the Messiah, you are all children of God through this trusting faithfulness; because as many of you as were immersed into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah, in whom there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor freeman, neither male nor female; for in union with the Messiah Yeshua, you are all one.”

What a powerful scripture passage! While we have seen great advancement among the congregation in this country concerning its growing acceptance of women in ministry, there’s still a long road ahead of us.
