I absolutely love the word “persistent.” It means to “ be firm in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.” It’s that don’t give up or give in type of mindset that makes the soul continue no matter how many times it fails or faces disappointment.
Endurance is its counterpart. That place in the human spirit that declares, “I WILL STAY THE COURSE OF ACTION no matter how unpleasant it or difficult the process is… and I will not give in to defeat.”

I learned in corporate America that there were rewards of consistency, promotions associated with it.
I also learned that this truth was amplified when it came to the work of the ministry. It is directly tied to mature leadership, and setting Christ-centered examples other can follow.

I repent for being an appointed “ring leader” in the circus.
I repent for taking my role seriously and finding pride and joy in it as I turned God’s people into acrobats and tight-rope walkers under the circus master’s command.
I repent for leading people in vicious circles and playing with their minds in the ring. When truth presented itself, I turned to evil out of the wickedness of my own heart. Thank you for rescuing me Lord from life in the circus. I receive your forgiveness.

As a leader, I denounce and renounce favoritism and indifference concerning God's people.
I recognize that sheep are to be cared for, labored over, protected, equipped… directed and led lovingly at all cost to your will. I recognize that I have done harm to the "least of these" at times and stand before you as a SON with a rended heart — repentant and receiving your forgiveness RIGHT NOW!
