While many people are celebrating 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day and New Year’s Eve with fireworks, bazookas, gunshots, laser shows and other stimulating activity, my son JJ is generally up all night vomiting, sweating, shaking in fear and experiencing sheer terror and massive anxiety attacks in the midst of all the stimulation from festivities in our neighborhood.

Up until our family received the diagnosis of autism concerning him, we were oblivious to his condition and responses. I’ve since learned that it is human nature not to concern ourselves with a thing if it doesn’t affect us directly. For most people, children like JJ are not apart of their reality — outside of passing them on the street or interacting in another type of environment.

JJ changed all that for us — opening our eyes to a whole new world. Despite the challenges, it has been a tremendous journey of acceptance and love. We have been changed forever by his wonderful life.

Prophecy: Detoxifying the Prophetic

Background: The election season has revealed many things to my heart concerning the prayer, the prophetic and clearly understanding what God is saying or doing in a particular group, region or territory. There are two things we can count on: (1) God is not the author of confusion; and (2) God does not have super-star prophets or apostles operating in the Body of Christ. No ONE PROPHET, at least in this dispensation of the Gospel, speaks for ALL PEOPLE or a particular nation or people group. In pondering this over the course of this year, Father begin to share with me how He was using this great season of confusion that we find ourselves in  — here in the United States — to re-teach some of us how to distinguish between His voice and the voice of a stranger. This prophetic word is a portion of what the Lord is sharing with me.

Prophecy: In this moment, I am realigning the prophetic and the prophetic voice in some of my people. I am bringing things you have believed about the prophetic voice into a new, fresh view. I am causing my people to re-evaluate how they hear, and what they allow into their ear-gates and eye gates. I am speaking deeply to you concerning what you eat, how much you eat and what you discern as food. Your spiritual digestion is paramount to me. What you take in as nourishment and eliminate as waste is critical to me.

My melting pot has always been my people, whom I have called out of darkness into the Light. I have always created nations where there were no nations for me and established cities where there were no cities for me. I have always used obscurity as the backdrop for greatness. Why should you be any different? I enjoy watching my word perfected in your life. I enjoy seeing the foolish thing rise from the ashes and that that has been counted out come into significance. No longer allow your countenance to dip low in the light of my calling or in the appearance of those you deem king, queen. Choose… now… to rise!

The Wheat Sifting Process Part I (2)

Luke 22:31-34 The Complete Jewish Bible says:
31 “Shim`on (Simon), Shim`on (Simon), listen! The Adversary demanded to have you people for himself, to sift you like wheat! 32 But I prayed for you, Shim`on (Simon), that your trust might not fail. And you, once you have turned back in repentance, strengthen your brothers!” 33 Shim`on (Simon) said to him, “Lord, I am prepared to go with you both to prison and to death!” 34 Yeshua replied, “I tell you, Kefa (Peter), the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me.”
 
The call on our lives is a threat to the kingdom of darkness. The adversary knows that when we come to understand who we are in the Kingdom – His power is demolished. So he keeps temptation before us. He keeps distractions before us. He keeps all manner of familiar sin at our feet in hope that we will pick that sin up and carry it – leaving us professing Yahshua (our Lord Jesus Christ) but walking without power. As Yahshua said here, the adversary has demanded to have us in the midst of his tirade against God and to sift us like wheat…
 
In the spirit, the WHEAT SIFTING process is a deliberate, methodical, diabolical (extremely cruel and evil) strategy initiated by the adversary to separate the SONS OF GOD from the very PRESENCE of the Lord. You see, farmers will tell you that BEFORE wheat goes through the “sifting” process it has ALREADY BEEN separated from foreign grains, dirt, the chaff and then washed, dried and ground.
 
Isn’t that amazing! In other words, the “Wheat Making” processing has already taken place. Everything that is needed to “qualify the grain as wheat” is present. I hope you hear me! YOU ARE ALREADY WHEAT! YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN SEPARATED! NOW THE REAL BATTLE BEGINS! Yahshuah wasn’t talking to a tare here. He was talking to Peter – one of his BELOVED disciples and apostles. Peter was clearly WHEAT. He had finished the hard part of the MAKING process.
 
Say to yourself today, “I AM WHEAT!”
