Consider What Success Is To You (2)

There can be many obstacles blocking our path to successful book marketing and promotions as prophetic scribes. I believe one of those obstacles is reconciling how we view success.

There is so much pressure to be a public success and make tons of money. The publishing world around us in both sacred and secular environments have expectations that do not often fit well within our prophetic dimension.

We really need to reconcile this truth at prophetic scribes. This statement is not a limitation, but an opportunity to consider success from all avenues of our calling.

Doing so will help us develop a marketing and promotions plan that fits our spiritual objectives while also benefiting from our effort.

Prophetic scribes publish “first” for an audience of one. This simply means that our intention is to please the Lord. We also understand that the Lord has a people for his message. Our role is to clear the way for people to connect with that message.

Denouncing People Worship: Prayer III (2)

I DENOUNCE the parade in the dead center of congregations where PKs are strategically and intentionally made the center attraction.

I denounce any role I have had in that as visiting prophet or leader who was pulled into the circus aware or unaware. I denounce falling prey to the expectation of “the system” that creates an environment where “Golden children” arise and are presented as examples before the congregation as elite, special, set apart and set above.

I renounce my role in cheering on and supporting the system people have created. I repent and I know that you Lord has already forgiven me as there is no condemnation in Christ.

The Circus & Our Mirror Reflection (2)

Being a part of a circus can cause us to form all kinds of unhealthy soul ties with the flesh of our idols (even if the idol is self). Our response to idolatry can be so strong that feelings of guilt, false obligation and this place of “thinking you are betraying someone” (which are all lies) take SEVERE HOLD of your soul when it relates to people or institutions that we idolize. The thought of giving it up is as strong as an addiction to drugs or pornography.

Many of us are experts at choosing which sins are worse — not realizing that some of the people and systems we idolize are equally as wicked.

Signs of a Closet Gossiper (2)

(This article is a part of an ongoing series entitled, “Denounce the Circus,” based on identifying idolatry in the church.)

Signs of a “Closet” Gossiper:

  1. Celebrity junkie. Can tell you everything about celebrities and confuse it with “God showing me.”
  2. Excessive commentator. Weighs in on topics that are COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to the congregation. Has nothing to do with the Lord’s intention.
  3. Extremely concerned with what “they believe” the Lord shows them about “others” …and shape that gossip into a “false ministry.” Never in the history of the scriptures has a ministry been built on something like this.

The Administrative Scribe & The Scribal Anointing (2)

Administration exists in absolutely every element and area of life. In The School of the Scribe I like to define administration as the “management of processes, protocols and affairs” that establishes, aligns and propels the success of an individual or a corporation in any professional or governmentally aligned arena. An administrator is simply one who oversees those processes at varying levels. It really does help clarify things when we see it this way.

1 Cor 12:28 ESV states, “And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating…“

For the prophetic scribe this passage establishes and releases four indisputable administrative streams identifiable in “tremendous detail” in scripture, history through documentation concerning the lives of God’s chosen people in antiquity, and in life’s design overall.
