Manipulation:
exerting shrewd or devious influence especially for one’s own advantage; fudge: tamper, with the purpose of deception; control (others or oneself) or influence skillfully, usually to one’s advantage.

People will attempt to manipulate a blessing from your life in this season. Be watchful, don’t let the spirit of manipulation that grabbed hold of Rebekah pervert your destiny and steal your blessing. We are a DISCERNING PEOPLE.

We are NOT BLIND like Isaac was in that season, but overwhelmed by Holy Spirit. Trust the pull on the inside of you that says, “Move slow. Don’t jump into this. Get counsel. Don’t rush to make a decision. Listen to what is not being said.” Even hold fast to that check you get in your spirit that says, “Something here is just not right.”

I tell you, REBEKAH is on the move in this season… and willing to do ANYTHING to MANIPULATE HER DESTINY. What the Lord wants you to see is that if you stand close to him, she will lose her power. Why? Because the light in you will EXPOSE HER PLOY! You will learn to RESIST HER.

Take a look at Rebekah in operation.

The Spirit of Rebekah: Master Manipulator (Part II) (2)

Posted on 01/28/2014 by Theresa Harvard Johnson

Copyright 2010 Theresa Harvard Johnson (Read Part I Here) Saints, the signs are right in front of us. No longer can we tip-toe around Rebekah and HOPE she gets delivered. If there’s one thing I learned about my Lord Jesus Christ, it is that we must confront sin. In Rebekah’s case, this is what was…

Why am I still going through this storm? (2)

James 1:2-4 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”**

Have you been through a storm lately? Are you in the midst of one now OR maybe just coming out? Either way, storms are and will be a part of this life as long as we live. When I was a child, I didn’t understand that… and I long sometimes for those days to come back again. Right now, there are some people dear to me that are really going through. In praying for them, this question rose in my spirit: “Why are they STILL going through this storm?”

This particular storm has been like a Tsunami for one of my friends and their family. If it wasn’t for their faith, I am sure they wouldn’t have survived this far. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had at least one storm like this in my own life and at that time I didn’t think I was going to make it — even with the Lord on my side.

Why do Christians chase prophecies? (2)

Why do Christians chase prophecies?

I love checking the keywords and phrases that lead people to my website. The topic of this post is actually the result of one of them, and I think the searcher had an awesome question: Why do Christians chase prophecies? After following the search string to see what kind of answers this person received, I landed on a website called chasingprophecy.com. It’s a Christian rock band and their slogan is: “Chasing prophesy, pursuing destiny.” In a way, I thought to myself, they answered this question hot on the spot.

You see, believers pursue prophecy primarily for one primary reason: To know what is the perfect will of God for their lives – whether personal, corporate or global. There are people who abuse this and become prophecy-junkies – yep, I said it; but that is a topic for another time. (See the blog post, Prayer Addiction)

Proverbs 18:16 CJB says, “Without a prophetic vision, the people throw off all restraint; but he who keeps Torah is happy.”

Scribes, Rise Up & Celebrate! (2)

In the Voices of Christ, we often talk about a beautiful ceremony called “Siyum” in Hebrew. The word itself means “completion or to complete” and is used specifically to describe the completion of sacred writings, and in this instance the Torah. For those who’ve taken our classes, we talk about the grueling but honorable training scribes endured in the times of old. We discuss the rituals they had to undergo and the amount of time they dedicated – spiritually and naturally – in the preparation for and task of writing Torah.

While we do not practice the Siyum ceremony per se, we can draw from the wisdom, the example and the obedient heart that many of them worked from in the midst of their journey. When they completed copying the Torah, it was a tradition to host a celebration to HONOR GOD in its completion. This included praise, worship, prayers, conversation and even a covenant meal with those who honored the Word, honored God and honored the servants who – without complaint – completed the task. THOUSANDS of people would participate in these ceremonies. They were excited about the continued PRESERVATION of the Word and the legacy it represented. Just thinking about this stirs the prophetic scribe in me with the fire to honor God with my obedience to write and publish what He gives me.
