A Nation That Complicates Simplicity

When I first came to the Lord, things were so simple.

All I wanted to do was experience the Lord, stand in His presence, hear Him and experience the hope of new life. In many ways my experience was like a new romance and I didn’t want that feeling of perfect euphoria to go away.

In those first few months, at least for me, it was like “perfect love, perfect acceptance and a perfect hope” had settled into my heart snuggly. Not every son has had this specific type of experience, but all who Love the Lord have experienced those moments of perfect love. And in those moments… God is simple! He is not the complicated deity “our maturity” makes Him out to be.

Part IV: The Lying Pen of the Scribe (The Soul)

This is another perspective that I teach concerning the lying pen… as we go deeper in our discussion.

There were no devils and demons at play in Matthew 23 when the Pharisees and Scribes were rebuked. Rather, you had people of influence who decided to let greed, power and money guide their lives in ministry. Those Christ rebuked were selfish, building their own Kingdoms and using God’s word for their own personal, political and social interests.

The INTENT OF THEIR HEARTS WERE UNCLEAN… and their illegal ungodly actions INTENTIONAL. They didn’t need an evil spirit to help them… because they themselves were the evil. They were the wicked thing who desired dominance over the people of God.

The Gift (of the Gifts)

In·vest·ment (noun).

The act and practice of depositing, endowing or imparting into someone or something with the promise of a future return; To commit or to devote morally or psychologically as to a purpose. To commit as in time or support.

My family and I are the products of great and multiple investments. The greatest of which was and is the gift of God himself – His word made flesh through Yeshua the Messiah, the anointed one.

I hold true to the full measure of J-oh-n 3:16 CJB which declares: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed.”

As a believer, a Son in the Kingdom of Heaven, I enjoy the spirit-led celebration of CHRISTmas – not because of the hype or the commercialization of the tradition. I enjoy it because of the “treasure of the season” that rests in my soul and in my Spirit. The significance of this day, for me, is a reminder of all the endearing, meaningful investments that have been made into my life from childhood until now through compassion, kindness and love – that have given voice and released life into the daughter, woman, wife, mother, sister, friend and mentor I am today.
