False Maturity: Am I walking in it?

I’ve been praying about some things I’ve encountered through the ministry Father has entrusted to me. In the midst of this prayer, I’ve asked Him to pour  the “weight” of His heart upon me as I continue to grow and mature, never allowing me to forget my journey, vocation and the reason I’ve been called. I pray this over those Father graces me to mentor or cover diligently in prayer — that they walk in compassion, never forgetting the grace that has been extended to them. Today, as I waited on Father to speak to my heart, He simply said: “Prophet, let me tell you about false maturity among the congregation. It is a snare for my Sons in this hour.”

Why would God compete against himself?

(This article is intended to touch your hearts concerning the weight of our call. It is in no way written to condemn, but to convict. It is to prompt us to fully release Holy Spirit to reveal the motives of our hearts to us. For those of you who are assigned to read this article, I pray that you are blessed, and that Holy Spirit will do what He was ordained to do on the inside of you in this very hour. To Father alone be the Glory.)

Back in 2005 when I finishing my first instruction manual, The Scribal Anointing: Scribes Instructed in the Kingdom of Heaven, I had a powerful visitation from the Lord. I was on the brink of planning a county-wide poetry slam when Father woke me up in the middle of the night and said plainly, “Beloved, I have not called you to do this. Shut it down.”

Am I a Prophetic Scribe or Writer?

In Voices of Christ, we use the scriptural term “prophetic scribe” to describe who we are as literary ministers in the midst of our faith. The reason behind this is basic. The term prophetic, as used here, simply means: The ability of a believer to hear and interpret what the Lord places in their heart.

The understanding of the word “scribe” in the culture of the Kingdom describes a function within the congregation of the Lord that encompasses a wide range of gifting — not just the call to write. Whereas the term writer simply denotes someone who writes (a singular function). You can differentiate the type of writer, but it doesn’t change the fact that a writer IS a writer.

PART II: When Leadership Breaks Confidentiality & Trust

Ma-tth-ew 11:28 CJB, “Come to me, all of you who are struggling and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

God promises healing!

Yeah, I know this is cliché… but it is the truth. Every believer who walks this journey will, at some point, either breach trust in the midst of a brother and sister in Christ or become the victim of breached trust. In truth, it’s what happens next that will determine how your particular circumstance plays out.

The question before you now is this: Can you allow God to walk you through it? Can you give up your perceived “right” to be angry and hurt?

There is absolutely no way the Lord is pleased with what has happened to you! Yet, the only way out of it is to determine – before the Lord that YOU will not live in your hurt, disappointment, distrust and brokenness. And as HARD as this may sound, “YOU do not have the right, in the eyes of the Lord, to hold on to the pain, the betrayal. That posture is just as much a sin as the sin done against you.”  (If you haven’t already done so, please read Part I: When Leadership Breaks Confidentiality & Trust)

Prophetic Writing vs.Christian Writing: Is there a difference?

Posted on 05/28/2012 by Theresa Harvard Johnson

Yes, there is.

Prophetic writers are indeed Christian writers, meaning we believe fully in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ (Yeshua). The difference, however, lies in our approach to writing and the focus of our ministry.

Before continuing, there are many writers who are indeed prophetic (writing and releasing the heart and mind of Father) who do not see the need to identify themselves as prophetic. They are simply following the inspiration of the Spirit. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. As a people, we must walk within our own metron.
