Scribal Prophecy: May 5, 2010

One of my favorite parables in the bible is the story of the foolish young prophet from 1 Kings 13. I am always hanging on to the warning of this word, and today, I am impressed to share it with you. Father uses this passage of scripture as a constant reminder to me to NOT FOLLOW the voice of strangers.
Today, he released a prophetic word to me for some here. He said, "Be careful who you let speak into your life. That word could very well lead you outside of the will of God." I encourage you to read this chapter in it's entirety as there is MUCH revelation here. Father led me to verse 11 in delivering this word to you.
The Prophetic Word
1 Kings 13:11 says, "Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all that the man of God had done that day in Bethel; the words which he had spoken to the king they told also to their father.Their father asked them, Which way did he go? For his sons had seen which way the man of God who came from Judah had gone."
This is what the Lord is saying: In this season, there are men who will seek you out. They see the splendor and the favor that I've placed on your life and they desire to be in the midst of the covenant I've made with you. They've heard about the things you have done at my command. They've followed the moves of God that have followed you.
v. 13-14, He said to his sons, Saddle the donkey for me. So they saddled the donkey and he rode on it. And went after the man of God. And he found him sitting under an oak, and he said to him, Are you the man of God who came from Judah? And he said, I am.
This is what the Lord saying: They will come to you, saying that it is the Lord that has led them. They will recount the things that you have done in the name of the Lord. Seeking to woo you with flattery. I say to you today, humble yourselves before me beloved that you will not be deceived when the time of temptation comes. Humble yourselves! That you may not be so easily deceived. Never move from your post, seeking rest under the oak tree — remain in my presence, remain diligent, aware.
v. 15, Then he said to him, Come home with me and eat bread.
This is what the Lord is saying: Get ready for the invitations. Get ready for the "seemingly" open doors. Get ready to pray to see if this is what I will have you do, where I would have you go. In this season, there are false invitations going out. You are being invited to a counterfeit feast, and it is my desire to protect you from the traps and plans of the adversary. Press into prayer at every turn. Do what I have commanded my son to do — intercede. Beloved, every invitation is not an open door for you — my chosen vessel — to walk through. Many traps have been set for my people in this season…
v. 16-17, He said, I may not return with you or go in with you, neither will I eat bread or drink water with you in this place. For I was told by the word of the Lord, You shall not eat bread or drink water there or return by the way that you came.
This is what the Lord is saying: I will tell you where to go and what to do, says the Lord. Beloved, remember my words! My no is no, and my yes is yes. Follow my counsel in this season. Don't turn left or right — but keep your eyes on me in the midst of temptation and testing. Many plans are in a man's mind, but only my plans will stand.
v18-19, He answered, I am a prophet also, as you are. And an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied to him. So the man from Judah went back with him and ate and drank water in his house.
This is what the Lord is saying: They will say, "I am a man of God just like you. I am a prophet just like you. I hear from God just like you. The Lord is speaking the same thing to me." They will tell you things that sound good to the ears — words of direction and instruction that are in direct contradiction to what the Lord has already proclaimed. Beware, says the Lord, be diligent. They will say it is okay when I have said it is not. YET, they come speaking lies and deceit. They come with other plans and motives in their hearts. Beware! Says, the Lord, "Do not move out of position. Do what I have commanded of you!" — In Jesus Name
As you continue to read this scripture, you will quickly learn that this prophet LOST HIS LIFE by following a strangers voice. He DIED just moments after His disobedience.
The Lord began to show me that people are falling into destructive chaos and confusion as result of following the voice of strangers OVER the voice of the Lord. As a result, death is at their door — death to relationships, death to their ministries and for some… natural death. There is no time left to PLAY with God. Stick close to your SHEPHERDS if indeed the Lord has called you to sit under them. Stick close with ALL those whose labor you know… and PRAY about everything. The bible CLEARLY says, "My sheep no my voice and a stranger they will not follow…" In Jesus Name
People of God, this is a warning…
Everyone who SAYS they are coming in the name of the Lord, are just not sent by him…
